Gmail to be made Easier and Interactive with Accelerated Mobile Pages

Finally, Google has announced about Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) technology that will make Gmail interactive and engaging. AMP was designed in order to increase websites speeds and will now support Gmail Developer Preview application.

“Today, we’re bringing the power of AMP to email through the Gmail Developer Preview of AMP for Email — a new way for developers to make emails more interactive and engaging,” says Aakash Sahney, Gmail product manager. “With AMP for Email, it’s easy for information in email messages to be dynamic, up-to-date and actionable.”

With this, simpler actions like booking a calendar appointment will happen within the email space and will cut down all the time and clicks required currently to perform the action.

Earlier when AMP was first introduced in 2015, Google continued to better the technology and started using it in various formats, gradually making it lighter and faster.

It is quite a good news for us consumers that the company is now doing it with emails as well.
